JOHN SCAMMAN

I’m Jon Scamman (age 34), and I’m the associate vicar at St Barnabas Church Cambridge, an exciting Anglican church where 80% of the congregation is under the age of 40.  I was born in the States, did my secondary schooling in Edinburgh, and have been drifting south over the years, such that I now support Scotland at rugby, and England at football and cricket.  So - painful all round then!  I miss-spent my 20’s as an eternal student, including post-graduate studies on post-modern literary theory at Oxford, before training for ordination at Ridley Hall Cambridge (where I met my wonderful wife Helen, also ordained).  We did a job-share curacy in Winchester, and are now blessed with three very lively children aged between 3 months and 4 years.  There’s more to life than sleep!
